You've got questions. We've got answers.
ALL recipes on Plantsy Vegan Eats contain inherently vegan ingredients (think broccoli) or ingredients that come in vegan form (think non-dairy oat 'milk' or buttery spread).
MOST of the recipes are filled with plant foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, seeds, nuts, herbs and spices). Taken as a whole, the recipes are cleanish and plantsy, vegan eats.
They are what I am personally aiming to eat more of - and what people most often request from me. It's that simple.
Plantsy Vegan Eats is all about great food. Stop by and never run short of a fabulous breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert idea. A cleanish and plantsy vegan one, that is.
No need be vegan - just interested in fresh and fabulous food made from non-animal-based ingredients.
Vegan foods contain no animal products or by-products.
Plant-based foods are centered around plants (fruits, veggies, grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices) but may not be strictly vegan.
Every recipe on Plantsy Vegan Eats is made from vegan ingredients. Taken as a whole, the recipes are cleanish and plantsy.
In today’s market, the terms are often blurred. Many companies label items as “plant-based” to appeal broadly, even if the product isn’t truly based in plants. For example, take a look at the ingredients in “plant-based butter” — you decide whether it is plant-based.
No. None of my recipes are authentic; all are inspired by different cultures and cuisines. My goal is to enjoy flavors from around the world while keeping things plantsy vegan and accessible to everyday home cooks.
Plantsy Vegan Eats is a recipe site — not a healthy eating site. I intentionally avoid the word “healthy” because it’s subjective. What’s healthy for one person may not be for another. I’m not here to define that for you.
There are countless ways to eat well, and experts disagree on nearly all of them. To explore the diversity of expert opinions, check out U.S. News & World Report’s Best Diets Overview. You’ll find dozens of plans ranked by medical and nutrition professionals — each claiming the science is on their side.
Confused yet? That’s normal. You’re smart enough to decide what feels right for you. If you want personalized nutrition advice, consult a registered dietitian or health professional.
I’m not one of them! I simply love fresh food and share plantsy vegan recipes, meal planning templates and life organization tools that make eating and living a little more joyful.
Nope! I’m a C.P.A., researcher and lifelong food lover — not a health professional of any kind.
I write about food, travel and life by the sea, sharing what I learn along the way.

Nope! You’re smart. Lead yourself to great places.
Stop by Plantsy Vegan Eats when you want to grab some fresh ideas — recipes, templates or life planning inspiration — and then make your own smart choices as you go through life.
Absolutely! As my mother used to say, a recipe is only a suggestion.
If you prefer broccoli instead of green beans — go for it.
If you want to use homemade beans instead of canned — great idea.
If you’re out of nutmeg and have cinnamon on your spice rack — perfect swap.
If a recipe calls for ½ teaspoon paprika and you want more — go ahead and quadruple it - make it your own.
The only way to truly learn to cook is by experimenting. The key is to test and adjust until it works for you.
All ingredients are inherently vegan or available in vegan versions.
However, it’s up to you to check packaging and labels. Even seemingly simple foods can hide animal products — for example, bakery breads that contain eggs, or veggies packaged with cheese sauces.
On the flip side, foods once considered “non-vegan” (like feta or milk) now have excellent plant-based alternatives.
In short: all Plantsy Vegan Eats recipes can be made fully vegan — just choose vegan versions of your ingredients.
