Ingredients
2 slices sprouted grain bread
1/2 crisp red apple, thinly sliced
1/4 cup (30 g.) drained sauerkraut
1/2 tsp. (2 ml.) olive oil or vegan butter (optional)
Cracked black pepper, to taste
Directions
Lightly spread each slice of bread with olive oil or vegan butter, if using.
Layer the apple slices evenly over the bread.
Top with a small forkful of sauerkraut and press lightly to keep in place.
Finish with a few twists of freshly cracked black pepper.
Slice into halves or triangles for serving.
